Discover the Universe is an astronomy training program offered by Canadian astronomers. Our goal is to help Canadian teachers and educators share this fascinating science with their groups. We offer free online workshops and webinars, as well as downloadable educational resources. You can also catch us in person at various workshops and conferences. Mission

Founded in 2011, Discover the Universe fills a gap in science education by offering thoughtful and inspiring astronomy training for elementary and secondary teachers across Canada. Uniquely tailored to help meet curriculum requirements in each province and territory, Discover the Universe impacts the education of thousands of Canadian students every year.

Discover the Universe supports science education by providing free, easily accessed resources for nation-wide teacher training  in astronomy.

Discover the Universe is offered by the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics in collaboration with the Canadian Astronomical Society and the Centre for Research in Astrophysics of Quebec.
