Ambassador Program

Become an Ambassador and join a national network of teachers connected by the cosmos!

Do you love astronomy? Are you passionate about sharing space science with others? We’d love to have you join our first cohort of Ambassadors.

Ambassadors are educators and science enthusiasts who help spread the word about Discover the Universe. They play a vital role in building awareness of our programming, promoting astronomy education in their communities, and helping us improve our resources through thoughtful feedback.

This is a flexible, volunteer-based role—designed to fit alongside your existing commitments. Whether you’re a classroom teacher, an educator, or someone who works directly with youth, this program is an opportunity to connect, contribute, and grow.

What Ambassadors Do:

  • Promote astronomy education
Share our social media posts, talk about Discover the Universe at staff meetings, promote events, and introduce your colleagues or community to our free resources.

  • Provide Feedback
Participate in regular check-ins and help shape future resources by sharing what’s working (or not!) in your classroom or educational setting.

  • Stay Connected
Join our Community of Practice, where Ambassadors across Canada share ideas, ask questions, and support one another in bringing space to life.

What You Get in Return:

  • Connection & Community
Be part of a national, bilingual network of educators passionate about astronomy, science literacy, and collaborative learning.

  • Professional Development
Get early access to new educational materials and opportunities to grow your confidence and impact as a science educator.

  • Leadership & Recognition
Receive official recognition for your role and gain experience that strengthens your CV, grant applications, or leadership portfolio.

  • Support & Tools
Access ready-to-share materials, promotional graphics, and guidance to help you feel confident and supported in your role.
